Locking Mechanism: Uses a latch-and-lever system that compresses the lid's gasket against the pail rim.
Tamper Evidence: Most rings include small holes in the lever and latch to accommodate a wire seal or plastic tie, ensuring the contents haven't been accessed.
Pro Tip for Closing: To ensure a perfect seal, position the ring around the rim and use a rubber mallet to gently tap the outside of the ring opposite the lever while closing it. This helps seat the ring evenly without bending the steel.
