What are the requirements for the handle design of the tinplate metal bucket

The handle design of the tinplate metal pail includes many considerations, which are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
 1: Ergonomic considerations
     Handling comfort: The shape and size of the handle need to conform to the physiological structure of the human hand. Generally speaking, the cross-sectional shape of the handle is designed to be round or oval, so that it can better fit the palm and reduce the pressure points of the hand. For example, the diameter of a round handle is usually around 2-3 cm. This size allows the fingers to hold the handle naturally, avoiding hand fatigue caused by being too thin, or difficulty in fully holding the fingers due to being too thick.
Distribution of carrying force: The handle should be able to reasonably distribute the weight it carries. A well-designed handle will take into account the force-bearing capacity of different parts of the hand, so that the force is evenly distributed on the palm and fingers. For example, the handle may have a certain curvature, so that the weight is more concentrated at the base of the palm and the joints of the fingers, which are relatively more able to withstand force and reduce discomfort in the hand.

 

2: Strength and reliability
    Material strength: The handle needs to be strong enough to bear the weight of the tinplate metal pail and its contents. High-strength metal materials such as stainless steel or reinforced carbon steel are usually selected. For large tinplate metal bucket containing heavier items, the metal material thickness of the handle may reach 3-5 mm to ensure that it will not break during lifting and handling.
    Connection firmness: The connection method between the handle and the tinplate metal pail body is crucial. Common connection methods are welding and riveting. Welding connection can provide higher strength and ensure that the handle is tightly combined with the body of metal pails. During the welding process, the welding quality must be guaranteed to avoid defects such as cold welding and slag inclusion. Riveting is relatively flexible, and the handle is fixed to the body of tinplate metal pails by rivets, which is easy to install and repair. But no matter which connection method is used, it needs to undergo strict quality inspection to ensure that the handle will not loosen or fall off during long-term use.

 

3:  Corrosion resistance: Considering that the drum may be used in different environments, the corrosion resistance of the handle is also very important. Especially in a humid or corrosive environment, the handle must be able to maintain good performance. By using corrosion-resistant materials or anti-corrosion treatment (such as galvanizing, passivation, etc.), the service life of the handle can be extended to ensure the normal use of the drum.
