UN Ratings: Many of these pails are UN-rated (e.g., UN1A2/Y2.0) for safely transporting hazardous solids or liquids.

Material and Construction: The drum body and lid are typically made of 0.32mm to 0.45mm thick tinplate or steel, ensuring durability. The lid features a locking ring that engages with grooves in the drum body for a tight seal, preventing leaks.

Capacity: Commonly 5-gallon, but ranges from 1 to 7 gallons.

Material: 24-gauge or 28-gauge steel, ensuring durability in high-temperature applications.

Lid and Handle: In addition to the locking ring lid, other sealing lid types are available, such as flower lids and lever lids. The handle is typically made of metal with a plastic sleeve for easy grip and heat insulation.

Linings: Rust inhibitor primer is standard, but epoxy or phenolic linings are used for better, long-term chemical resistance.
