5 Gallon Metal Buckets with lug cover are heavy-duty metal packaging containers, with a nominal capacity of 5 US gallons (≈18.9L). The lug cover design is also known as lug crimp lid, a common non-removable pressed closure for metal pails, widely used for one-time or limited re-opening applications.

Made from premium cold rolled steel or tinplate, these metal buckets have outstanding rigidity, impact resistance and stackability. Unlike lever lock ring lids, lug covers are sealed by crimping onto the bucket rim with a closing tool. Special lugs on the lid engage with the bucket neck to lock the cover tightly. A rubber gasket is installed inside the lid to deliver excellent leak-proof and airtight performance.

Optional internal linings including epoxy lining, phenolic lining and food-grade coating are available to avoid corrosion and chemical incompatibility between the metal substrate and filled products.
