A 5-gallon tight head steel pail is a closed-top metal packaging container made of high-quality cold-rolled steel sheet, widely used for safe storage and transportation of liquids, semi-solids and solid materials. It features a fully sealed fixed lid (tight head design), unlike open-head steel pails with removable lids.

Tight head pails are not convenient for frequent full unloading, as only small bung openings are accessible. Choose open head steel pails if you need to take out large volumes repeatedly.
